University of Winnipeg
This panel will bring together student activists from the University of Winnipeg to discuss the movement for inclusion on their respective campus and how individuals can participate in social activism. These student activists are tackling ideas such as women’s rights, environmental racism, indigenous rights/land rights, disability rights, race and refugee rights. Panelists will discuss their personal involvement in student activism, influences and inspirations from other movements, responses to recent criticisms of student protests, the successes they have experienced, and the challenges they face ahead. We will also open the floor and the audience will also be invited to participate in the discussion.
