A poverty reduction plan for Winnipeg needs to begin with community to be effective. Make Poverty History Manitoba is conducting a series of community-based consultations to gather input from those with lived experience of poverty. The community engagement will help to build awareness of what the city is doing and can do to address poverty, identify poverty reduction priorities from those experiencing it, and build support for the poverty reduction plan once it is developed.
The four consultations will be held on:
Tuesday, March 21st - Millennium Library- Carol Shields auditorium-6-8pm
Thursday, March 23rd –Murdo Scribe 6-8pm
Tuesday, April 04th – Charleswood Library 6-8pm
Thursday, April 06th - Pembina Trails Library 6-8pm
